There is a V5 engine in the VW lineup that fits in the A platform
chassis... (more appropriately named the VR5). Perhaps it could be
developed into a 5-valve version with turbo? That would be an interesting
one.
The VR engine's space-saving staggered cylinder bore configuration is
proving to be an ultra-versatile modular building block for all sorts
of neat new engines, like the Bugatti's upcoming W18, or the Bentley's
future W16, a W12 in a Porsche SUV, or a V10 TDI...
