I've not heard of anyone trying this. According to the reviews, the V5
(that's what they call the VR5 in Europe) is not really a free-revving
engine.

Yup, great engine. But perhaps not the tuners' favourite... that must be
the 1.8T. What's the maximum amount of power they managed to wring out of
that for the road? 400 bhp?
