Oh, you underestimate the capabilities and knowledge of the Qlisters.
The V8Q and other models didn't even come with a dipstick for the tranny,
after all, WHY would a V8Q owner ever need to have this checked anywhere
but at the dealer? The V8Q doesn't even have a Benley....but I have
heard rumors that a printed factory manual was circulated for the car.
The specialty tools are available for purchase or rental. The "non user
serviceable" car argument has been heard since the early days of fuelish
injection but we, the unwashed masses always seem to find a way.

God bless em, the MD's, Stock Brokers, TFBG (Trust Fund Baby Girls), and
all the others who can shell out the $50,$60,$70 and up grand to buy
these cars new, after which some examples inevitably work their way down
to the enthusiast for less money in some cases than the sales tax when it
was new. Brings to mind the scene from "Money Pit" where the guy sits
in the new Mercyless Benz SEL at a Manhattan dealer and asks his
girlfriend if he "looks good in this car."
