Probably just the multifunction temp sensor, an easy fix.
New ones are about $40 or so, pop in in less than 2 minutes.
A common failure, did both my old cars.

Don't be. Like most technological cars, they need maintenance.
But if properly maintained, they are not unreliable. Keep up
with the list and you'll find most of the common problems to
keep an eye out for.
My wife's '90 90Q20V has 150K+ on it, running strong. My old
'89 100Q (now in new hands) has close to 200K on it.
