Actually, the statement "CIS-E doesnt use the CPR" is true.  The early
cars (78-83) Audi I4 and I5 engines all have CIS.  The 84-91 I5
10V turbos engines aren't technically CIS-E. they are CIS with a
proprietary ECU that controls fuel/ignition/boost.  The 20V I5 engines
(turbo or non-turbo) and more recent Audi engines all have pulsed
Motronic systems, so they aren't CIS or CIS-E.

Thus, CIS-E (as it's strictly defined) are only used on non-turbo Audi
I4 8V and I5 10V cars from about 84 up through 91.
