It is indispensible on the Audis that were designed to use the
special fluid.  Using the wrong fluid can cause the seals in the
systems to fail and spring leaks.

My question is, why? Will it cause the rack to leak? Will it cause the bomb
to go bad? Will it make the pump leak? Seems like these all take a s#%t on
these cars anyhow.....I started using NAPA power steering fluid AFTER my
rack started to leak at 80k miles. Car now has 125k miles with same pump and
bomb. I don't say this should be the answer, but got tired of the $$ for
Audi stuff. If it is SO GREAT, why does everybody have to replace everything
Pentosin related?
