Re: Hydraulic Oil for Dummies (101) A Testiment
I don't know why it works, but I've been using Pentosin CHF 7.1, then 11S
solely on all of my Audis. Even on the 85 5ks Wagon that is highly
neglected. I've never had a single problem on any part of the hydraulic
system on that car, or any of the other cars. That wagon springs a leak in
the coolant system almost twice a year, but never once in the hydraulic
system. In my opinion, that alone is good enough reason to keep the Pentosin
flowing.
My two cents....

OK.. So there IS a person out there that hasn't had a problem.Yes, I would
use it too, as I do in my V8. But my other Audis get the cheap stuff. They
don't seem to care. If it ain't broke don't fix it, but if it's broke....
Which reminds me of a story my dad uses to tell. It was about a farmer that
was giving his horse sawdust mixed in the feed to cut down the cost. When
asked by another farmer how this was working out, the farmer replied, " Well
each day I would give him a little more sawdust than feed. This was working
real well and almost had him up to 100% sawdust when the damn horse up and
died!"
