Re: odometer not odometering either




Sorry, it's an '86 4KQ.  The gears I beleive you are refering to, that can 
be worked on w/o removing the needle, are not spinning (the worm gear on the 
left side).  I'd like to get in there to see what I can do, most everyone is 
saying that it's a difficult job but I welcome the challenge.

And to the person who is worried about me turning the odometer back - I'm 
actually concidering turning it foward the approximate 15K miles I put on 
the car while it was broken.  This car is going to be driven forever... by 
me, then my son, then his son and his...  If she leaves the family there 
will be a proper burial (parting out to the list) I could never bring myslef 
to sell my first Audi.  She sparked the obsession.

Side note:
When I pointed out a 850csi BMW on the highway the other day my 7 year old 
son said, "yeah but it stinks in the snow, right dad?" !!!
