RE: 88' 5kcstq no start/run update



Ken, I have a suggestion for you that will allow you to bypass all of
the fuel injection stuff and squirt fuel directly into the intake
manifold.  You can use this as a test to confirm that there is a problem
in the fuel injection system, and not elsewhere.  Ground your cold start
valve while cranking. Of course, this assumes that it works properly.
If the car does start, then you know the problem lies in the fuel
delivery to the injectors.  If it does not start, and the cold start
valve is working properly then your problem is elsewhere.  
I actually wired a momentary contact switch in my dash to activate the
cold start valve because I was having a wicked hot starting problem and
I used it virtually every time I started the car, when it was hot.  HTH
