Greetings, folks
Been out of touch for a while, and am looking to solve some (potential)
performance issues.
I have a pair of 5KTQs, an 86 Wagon and an 87 Sedan. Throughout the entire
band, the 86 seems to spool up faster, come on quicker, and is generally
more eager to fly.
The sedan, isn't really sluggish, once rolling, but is noticably less eager,
as if the advance is hanging up.
Both register 1.2-1.3 bar on the fantasy meter, so I am suspecting the WOT
switch, and/or static/dynamic timing settings.
My time available to troubleshoot, as well as waning access to decent
weather, demand that I get to the point soon, so:

1. I had assumed (perhaps rashly), that dynamic ignition timing was set by
the computer, irrespective of static setting.Yes/No?
2. My timing light is on the "fritz", so my quick (luddite) guestimate would
be via vacuum readings at idle. Advisable?
3. How much does WOT switch function add to, or detract from "life at the
top"?
4. Data: New Plugs, (tri-electrode), new cap, "decent" wires, new boost
hose, cleaned ISV.
Starts and runs well, and if I didn't have the '86 to compare to, I probably
wouldn't have noticed, but...
Thanks in advance your your collective experience and insight,
Best Regards,
Mark
