RE: K24 finally installed in 1986 5000cstq



Automotive turbos have a recommended overhaul period of between 100K and 150K.

$400 at most turbo shops; includes seals, rebalacing.  More if there 
is heavy damage(ie to bearings and such.)  There is also the obvious 
cost of removing the turbo and reinstallation.

Sure beats a $1000 unit or a new engine.
