TT Roadster

Hi all,

The TT Roadsters are in Holland- saw my first example at the dealership
yesterday. Looks really clean, stainless steel rollover hoops are great
with the looks of the car. It was silver with the natural-colour 'baseball
glove' seats, which I like a lot. I was unable to drive it (too cold
anyway) but fit and finish are excellent. It was a quattro, and there was a
TT Coupe in quattro spec in the showroom, too. The roadster was sold
already, as I imagine anything that hits the dealerships is. The German
magazines are still full of ads from people offering TTs 'for immediate
delivery', regular delivery times are some 7-9 months apparently. There was
also a yellow S3 in the showroom- I wouldn't choose this colour myself but
it certainly works well on the car.
Among the used cars were a great-looking silver A4 Avant 2.8 quattro (rare
car here) and an A6 Avant 2.8 quattro. Wow! Two used quattros at one
dealership!

Also saw an '87 90 2.3E FWD in the same colour as mine in town yesterday- a
pretty rare car. Same brown velour interior as mine, but with the sports
seats.
BTW- does anyone know if the sports seats for the type 89 90 are
incompatible with seat heaters? Mine doesn't have the sports seats, and
none of the sports-seat 90s I've seen so far had seat heaters.

PS Also spotted an as-new 5ktq in gold here yesterday. There seem to be
more US-spec cars running around than I thought- early 5k FS at local
exotic-car dealership, US-spec V8 parked along the main street here last
week.
