Even if you hear a click or buzz, it still may be the fault of the
switch. If the switch has enough resistance that it has a considerable
voltage drop across it when closed--remember that the regulator's full
current is carried by the switch--it may not leave enough voltage for
the regulator motor to move the window up.
This has been the case on my sunroof switch and window switches. The
switches don't just work or not work; they get a little worse and worse,
slowing the window down until it can't move.
