Re: LI, NY alignment shop WARNING



You could protest the credit card charge for "alignment" if you have any
kind of receipt to that effect.  The credit card company just takes its
money back and the shop gets to argue with their bank whether they or the
bank takes the hit.  You need a well-written complaint to the credit card
company with any evidence of their inability to complete the work charged
for (such as a follow-up alignment receipt from another shop).  You pay the
charge on your bill and protest the amount.  If the credit card company
decides in your favor, they credit your bill for the amount you paid.  Do
not refuse to pay the credit card company the protested amount:  Let the
credit card company do the protesting for you.  They've already given the
money to the shop, but they can get it back.
