eS2 passes NJ inspection



OK I know it's trivial, but my car never went through an inspection before,
NJ extended stickers by one year just as the eS2 emerged from the shop.  I
was nervous:  would the aftermarket cat work, had I aimed the (illegal) euro
lights correctly, would he notice that the crack in the windshield had crept
from the legal 3" to about 4.5?

Shouldn't have worried, he was apparently on his first day back from a 12
day workers' comp vacation and was deep in discussion w/ his shop steward
throughout the exam.

In other news, I got an email back from Treadway explaining the injury to
his urq at the NASA Laguna event.  He'd put the "big brain" from the monster
eS2 in the white ur for the last run group.  Plus he was running racing
slicks.  Being a sensitive new-age guy, he immediately detected rod knock
after a long corner, and shut it down before it could grenade.  So nothing
catastrophic, but another story of the oil starvation of the bottom end
during extreme g cornering, as discussed by various listers. (Jeff Donnelly?

Has anyone done a dry sump set up on a turbo?  Is this something an Accusump
might cure?
