RE: front suspension noise

Unbelievable ! Took the problem below to a garage to look it, and guess
what it was ? The brake pads ! The anti-rattle spring was not put in
correctly (only 1/2 of the spring behind the caliper). Never knew a brake
pad could make such a noise!

Simon

P.S. The pads were 'installed' at an Audi dealership (don't known which
one)

suspension on a CQ (87). It appears to be set off between 20 - 40 MPH over
small bumps (e.g. raised man hole covers). I've not had a look as yet but I
think my main suspect is the anti-roll bar. Has anyone experienced
something similar ?
