Re: Rear Suspension Thuds - Help

When I first bought my 87 5kcsq, The rear shocks were completely gone. The
did not pass the bounce test and when I replaced them I found that the
bottom mount was broken off the shock. The only thing that was holding the
car up was the base of the shock wedged into the suspension. I was very
surprised to find this and fortunately only drove the car home before
replacing the shocks. I would check the lower shock mounts.
