Switch Lights

I've gotten a few request on switching bulb lights. I believe there is
detailed instruction in the archives, but here is the quick and dirty.

The Radio Shack Part Numbers are:
Micro Lamps: Cat. #: 272-1092B
Red LED: Cat.#: 276-026A
Wedge Bulbs: Sylvania: 2171 (I think that's the right numer)
Sorry but I don't have the resistor # for the LED.

Replacing the bulbs are easy even if you never held a soldering iron in your
hand before.

The following is a bulb chart:
Seat Heater Switchs - 1 micro lamp
Rear Defogger - 2 wedge lamps
Fog Light - 2 wedge lamps
Anti-Lock - 1 wedge lamp
Window Switch - 1 led and resistor
Seat Memory - 1 micro lamp & 2 leds (leds are for on/off switch - micro lamp
is for the numbers)
Power Mirror - 2 micro lamps

Quick Instructions
Seat Heater - gently pry off the face plate with a screw driver. Pull swich
out with a needle nose. These switches were not designed to be opened so you
must force them open by pushing on the 4 tabs. Once you open the switch be
careful not to lose the little ball. As a matter of fact open the switch
over a tray to catch the ball. All the switches are very basic and getting
the the soldered micro lamp is a snap.

Rear Defogger/Rear Foglight/Anti-Lock Switches - gently pry off the face
plate. Remove bulbs with a needle nose and replace. Easy.

All the switches on the armrest are similar to the seat heater instruction.
You have to force open the switches to get to the bulbs. The hardest part is
removing the control cluster from the armrest. There are 3 - 4mm allen
screws. Gently pry the cluster out and unplug all the switches. Take the
cluster and remove the switches that need repairing. The window switches are
gently pryed, the seat memory and mirror switches have two toggles to remove
it from the cluster. I found the window switches to be the most difficult to
open. The mirror and seat memory are very easy. The mirror switch also has
a ball like the seat heater switch, so be careful. All in all to repair 1
window switch, 1 seat heater switch, mirror, seat memory, rear defogger,
antilock, rear fog took me about 1 1/2 hours.

Hope this quick and dirty helps.
