All of these are valid points. I didn't even know there was a conformal
coating. I am completely ignorant of this process, but I didn't think there
was a lot to it. I am mainly wondering just how much of the money is for the
chip,etc., and how much is for the installation.

OK, if the install is laborous, I would concede. But it's still alot of
money (to some people, and especially given the value of the car).

(I'm gonna need an asbestos suit...)
