Re: tapping threads on oil in/out on a kkk turbo?

 location on the top and bottom of the turbo when I thougth about

     How much metal is there in between the oil openings on the top and bottom
 of the turbo before reaching something like a water passage?  Thought it
 would be a lot easier to just tap some threads into the housing and get a
 male to male adapter much like how the coolant lines are hooked
 up.  Anyone care to offer up thougts on this?

    That sounds like a great idea Marc, and I have seen it done on other 
turbos too.  I have never actually seen it done on a K 24/26, but I would 
reason that if the current ID of the hole could be tapped, there would not be 
any worries.  Have you done any measuring to see if the ID would need to be 
enlarged for a given size?  I am sure there is plenty of meat there to tap 
the current ID.  If not, maybe someone has a trashed bearing section they 
would like to breifly donate to a little testing? (to be returned after said 
testing)
