Re: 4kq low oil pressure light- help!

Eric,

I think the oil pressure warning ststem on my 1990
Audi 100 is very intermittant. I've replaced the
switch, but it wasn't the problem. It's probably
a bad connection in the autocheck computer that
monitors the pressure sensros (two in my case).
Sharp bumps activate the oil warning beeper and
symbol. However, the meter shows great oil pressure.
I guess you don't have the meter on yours, but
they sure are handy in a situation like this.
One of these days I'll take the instrument cluster
out and try to fix the intermittant or at least
add a defeat switch to the beeper to shut it off.
I'm not looking forward to taking the air bag
and steering wheel off to get the cluster out.
Does all this work bond us to our Audis?
