... that is a really tough one ... it seems as though all of the speedo
repair shops have some sort of agreement not to sell the individual parts
... they'll gladly take your $60-80 to do it for you. I've tried working
with others on the list to try to identify a replacement, so far to no
avail. What worked for me was to call all the local speedo repair places
and ask them if they would sell the part to me. They must all go to school
on the response because they all reply with a similar spiel, but eventually
after I told them that I knew about the innards of the odo one of them
agreed to sell me a gear as long as I didn't tell anyone where I got it.
