RE: need a light



Over here, there is no mandatory inspection unless you get caught in a
roadside safety check or a cop with nothing better to do decides to spot
check you.  Yes, this does result in a lot of vehicles in very
questionable condition on the road but since we have an over-abundance
of Revenue Collecting Mounted Police, they pick them off one at a time.
In the densely populated areas, i.e.. Vancouver, there are mandatory
smog checks, but these are not required or available in the rest of the
province.
