    Marc, this is how the S4 intercooler is mounted also...I take your word 
for it but I am surprised to hear you say that there is that much room under 
there to work with.  Next time you walk by a Honda look into the front bumper 
cover, I think you could fit a Semi radiator in there!  
    I think I am planning on welding some end tanks onto a stock MC 
intercooler and making it single pass, and be done with it.  All this talk of 
IC seems a little excessive to a point...has anyone ever really measured the 
psi drop across the dual pass IC?  All that extra plumbing and bends are also 
resistance even in the single pass IC.  I do not think that Audi fudged too 
much on the stock design, the run from the turbo outlet to the TB is 
incredibly short, and that IC is quite large...
