need P/N rad fan fuse - '91 200tq

The fuse to the radiator cooling fan has corroded and blown. It doesn't
appear to be another problem. It looks like the fuse has simply gotten
really old and rusty. It is the piece of metal that goes between the two
ground terminals just before connecting to the fan.
I don't suppose this is something that might be carried at a local parts
store....

Anton: I had this fusible link fail on my '91 200q20v a while back; same
issue; corrosion from the nastiness coming off the radiator fan, and age. As
I recall, it's an 80 amp link, and may be the exact same part as the fusible
link used by VW on their diesel rabbits.
My local auto parts stores did not carry a fusible link to fit the stock
location; with some creative manipulation, though, one of the generic $1
fusible links can be used until you get the factory part. Last time I
ordered through a dealer, I bought three (one to use, one for the glovebox,
one to give away) at about $0.80 each.
Part numbers given on Scott Mockry's site; I'll add them to mine, too.
When mine failed, I posted to the 200q20v list, recommending people buy a
couple, and do a preventative change of the link.

"The parts fiche shows the fuse box 281 937 505A, fuse N 017 125 3, and a
mounting bracket of some sort 443 971 845 AM"
Note that Scott says this is a good upgrade for the pre-'91 cars, as the
stock setup is not fused and may melt down your entire wiring harness, should
the fan short out (and it does happen).
