I included resize to be "complete"... btw I have no clue as to the
viability of this idea or what any of you are trying to acheive (!) but
it occurred to me that if you wanted more timing belt length the idler
would be the pace to get it.  Of course, its mounting bolt is one of the
oil pump bolts, I don't know if it could be moved far enough so as to
leave the oil pump unmolested.

Just an idea...

I don't think so.  But making them both smaller would get you some belt
length (gotta maintain that 2:1 ratio though!) - but the pulley diameter
might very well be an engineered minimum already.
