Check the archives for my review of the 272. It is not worthless without
other mods. And yes I included before and after comparo numbers (not seat of
pants) with the review. IMHO it is the best, easiest and cheapest
performance upgrade you can do for the 4kq.
The 276 may be better yet; however, I suspect, based on my experience with
the 272, that that you will hit the rpm limiter before full advantage of the
276 can be made.
I have also published numbers showing the stock 4kq exhaust is in most
respects better than a 2.5" Urq turbo exhaust for the 4kq. Lack of back
pressure can really hurt you. (you get a cyclic torque curve that when
plotted seems to be defined by harmonics.) The stock 4kq has a d*mn fine
exhaust system from the factory.

The best prices are Blaufergnugen, at 479$. Most places charge 595, like
TAP, 2 Bennett, etc.
The cam is pretty worthless without other mods, though, like intake,
exhaust,
etc.
The 276 cam also provides more power up high, depending on what he does.
