All the early german 16v engines were real low on the tourque low end...
Like the 944S - 16v.... The 944 could beat it to 30 or 40, as it didnt have
the tourque to spin the tires enough or provide the power to get the car out
of the 'hole'.
Just keep it above 3.2k RPM or so, ;-) it's better anyways..
