5KT starting problems
Thanks to Scott M's great site & advice, I pulled the codes, and found no
faults (patient is an 85 5K turbo non quat). The car was starting very hard
if at all when really cold (25>). The only way it would start when that cold
was to hold the throttle to the floor and crank it a _long_ time, after which
it gradually come to life. Tried to check the frequency valve, but couldn't
get the port to provide any reading. The weather is now warmer (30-40) and it
cold starts OK, but after reaching op temp and setting for about 15-20
minutes, it starts but will not run unless the throttle is held open and
blipped repeatedly. After about a minute of this, it clears up and runs good.
Would that indicate leaking injectors? Is there a clear way to test them?
Still trying to sort this beast out to trusted reliability. Help!
TIA
