  Some Corvette's and many (I believe) Volvo's use this system of a small
drum brake operating in the "hat" of the disk rotor.  I actually really like
this system as it allows 4 wheel disk with no complex caliper to have
problems with, just a very simple drum brake and a "normal" disk brake.  It
also had the advantage of needing to use a larger rotor diameter which is
not a bad thing!
