side. We do not have a problem with window frosting or inside fog. We have
not been able to find a used 5000 book for our 1988Q. Any suggestions on
what is the problem and how to correct? Thank you for your help!

look up under your dash on the pass side, with a flashlight, with the car
running. run thru the climate control modes to see if the flap moves at all.
if the flap is open to the inside you can usually look up in there and see
what the prob is. most likely a broken spring, or spring mount. worse, if
the mount for the vacuum bellows is broke, but there is a fixit part for
that. ive fixed this prob on 3 of my type 44's in the past few months. take
a look, tell everyone what's broken, and you can go from there.
