RE: Northern rusty Q's?
Hi Noah. My 86 5KTQ has just over 250,000km and the body has very very
little rust. The whole body is still very solid. There is a tiny bit
of surface rust underneath the doors where the rockguard has peeled off.
The underbody parts though, that's a different story. Two of the fuel
lines that run along the bottom of the car rusted completely through.
There are rubber grommets that hold the line to the floorpan and I guess
salt and water accumulate there and raise hell.
