Shims for '84 Quattro UR

I would think any thinner than 3mm would stand a chance of the edge of
the bucket fouling the cam lobe.  The question to address is _WHY_ he
needs such a small shim - very bad valve seat wear?

There is a documented 'maximum protrusion' of the head of the valve stem.
I can't tell you exactly what it is because my microfiche is over at
Roger's.
