Hi!

I picked up a Blaupunkt Toronto CD head unit. It has green, amber
and red illumination settings, with all shades of the 3 inbetween
as well.

The sound, however, is very stressing on the CD as it plays too
"accurate" and will need a equaliser to sort out the bass.

Also have a look at Panasonic as I see they offer any type
of illumination you want. I can't recall the unit designation
now, but at the shop they showed me the different coloured
caps they fit over the bulbs to pick the lighting you want.

Kenwood offer the KDC-4070RA and is marked especially for new
BMW and VW owners with red illumination. Most other Kenwoods
offer dual illumination, but it is amber/green type stuff.
Mind you, the lighting in my 200 is a kind of amber/red
mix now that I can match it to different shades on my Blaupunkt.

Otherwise, how good are you with a fine-point soldering iron
and some precision screwdrivers? :)
