RE: Gas Problems

The 4000 and 80/90quattros both have 18.5 gallon tanks.  In my 90, the
computer displays E around 15 gallons of use.  I have been able to stretch
it way past E and never completely ran out.  I wait until the dash
check-system fuel light comes on and then i usually fill about 16 to 16.5
gallons.  Last tank i Really stretched it out, and could feel the car
stutter on big turns, indicating there was very little fuel in the tank.  I
filled up with 17.7 gallons, most i have ever got.  I know that the URQ has
a 24.5 gallon tank, but not sure about the GTs.
