RE: Gas Problems

I know that my mileage in city driving is absolutely horrible! The
computer usually shows around 16 l/100km. (I don't know what that is in
mpg) On a long highway trip I can make between 5 and 7 l/100 km (this is
while being a very good boy and keeping it between 90 and 100km/hr)
Maybe you've been doing more city driving lately? Also, I once sprung a
most serious leak in the fuel supply line taking fuel from the tank to
the engine. This happened on the rubber grommets where the line is
attached to the car body. The corrosion gets in there and raises hell!
While cutting the line to splice in a new one, I sprung a leak at the
next grommet up the line! I strongly recommend checking that,
especially if you are in an area where they use a lot of salt on the
roads in winter.HTH
