Maybe not the expert advice asked for, but I would start here. You seem to
have a vacuum leak that the car is compensating for, no type 44 TQ I've had
will run with the crank case exposed to the atmosphere. If my dipstick is
not settled properly I will get many of your same problems right down to the
no start. Find your leak (hoses, gaskets, seals) and I bet a bunch of other
symptoms clear up.
