After seeing this post, I thought I'd mention meeting Hans
Jr. at Petit LeMans this year.
I took the pagefold out advertisement from Autoweek that
showed Audi's 'family tree', featuring a photo of Hans Sr.
driving a Silver Arrow. Hans Jr. had not seen the ad and he
studied it intently, then
signed next to his father's photo. I framed the ad and just
picked it up today.
I also sat in a TT coupe today to assess it's interior room
as a 'year-round' convertible. It seemed roomy enough
(especially as compared to the Alfa Spider I'm selling), but
I don't know how much trunk
space it will have as a cabriolet, and certainly the 'back
seat' will be lost to the top when it's down.
I decided that an A6 and a Spider needs to merge into one
car, one insurance bill, one maintenance
concern, a 'year round convertible' (it doesn't get that
cold in N.C.).
I also saw the A3 hatchback sitting behind Leith Audi in
Cary. Very sweet looking car. I wish they
imported it, makes other 'hot hatches' look lame by
comparison.
Happy new year everyone.
