Type 44 - Checking and correcting coolant antifreeze concentration and level
The system must be protected against frost down to about -25°C, or -35°C in arctic climates.
If protection is too low, the amount shown in the table should be drained off and replaced with coolant additive G11 or an additive to TL VW 774 A.

Antifreeze rounded off to the nearest half litre. After road test, check concentration of coolant. Coolant level must be between minimum and maximum marks on expansion tank with the engine cold. At the delivery inspection, the level must be at the maximum mark.
If coolant level is too low but frost protection is adequate, add required amount of mixture.
