Fuel Pump time

There are pix of old vs. new (63 mm diameter vs. 43 mm) and the parts
required to install the newer pump in the older housing on Chris Miller's
pages  http://members.aol.com/c1j1miller/index.html   Somehow I can't get
url's for the specific page.  I had to look through the "old menu" on the
repair menu option available in the choices on the left of the page.

I put the new one in mine and things went about as described by Phil in the
report on Chris's page.   However, it was tough locating the intermediate
part needed to anchor the pump in the older housing.   They may be more
available now or not???? I found I needed the special tool to break the old
pump loose from its housing.  Others have reported they managed to extract
the old pump with a gloved hand.

The check valve is internal to the new pump.
