Hydraulic fluid leak

Hi,
Does the freeze-up of the master cylinder (causing my RF wheel to drag)
cause hydraulic fluid to overflow? I know I have seen several people
with this problem. It seems to coincide with the brake pedal getting
high and hard. I then see what appears to be fluid overflowing from the
hydraulic fluid reservoir.
I have a rebuilt MC on order. It's a lifetime guarantee from Double
discount auto for $115. I already replaced the RF brake hose,
eliminating the inexpensive first.
