ecu location?

If I recall, the vacuum keeps the valve closed, opening when heat is asked for. So, yes the valve should hold vacuum, going the other way yes, but only when heat is asked for and the control closes vacuum to the valve. Make sense? Bob

Thanks Tony.
I found it and did my troubleshooting. My email posted hours late because
it was held by the spam filter or whatever.
I'm investigating a hissing sound behind/under the dash toward the passenger
side that I varies in intensity with boost level.
I've tested everything with the Mityvac and the only thing that doesn't hold
a vacuum is the heater valve and whatever it connects to on the other end.
I tested the ecu hose right from the T off the intake manifold.
I tested from that same point to the fuel pressure regulator.
Under the plenum there's the white and black vacuum lines for the climate
control.
The white one appears to only control the heater valve and it would not hold
a vacuum. Should it?
Should it hold a vacuum going the other way, into the CC system?
Thanks!
Ed
