Seat Heater Switch Light Bulbs

You can get the switch bulbs at Radio Schlock. I believe they are 1.5
watt. I have had good luck replacing mine. A couple of fiddles
however. First, you'll want to drill out the hole the bulb goes in so
it has more heat dissipation. Next, you'll find it almost impossible to
solder the new bulb to the board traces, so I drill a hole in the board
and take the bulb wires through the board and solder them on the back.

These bulbs are always on if the engine is running. So, if you want to
really extend the bulb life, remove all the switches and pull the
harness wires loose. Find a hot wire that only goes high when the
headlights are on, like the dash lights circuit. Substitute that circuit
for the one that feeds the seat heater switches.

CAUTION! Be very careful on dis-assembly. There is a miniscule ball
bearing used as the selector detent that loves to disappear under your
workbench...

Good luck
