[A4] clutch noise

bummer man. your throwout bearing is seizing. eventually the noise gets
worse until it heats up enough to shatter the 'fingers' of the pressure
plate which sounds like a frag grenade went off in your bellhousing. and of
course you lose clutch function.
so unless you like clutchless shortshifting, stop driving it and take it in
for clutch job asap. ask me how i know...
fwiw i would reccomend; a. dont go to a dealer - the prices will be
outragheous, and b. find a good independent audi/vw mechanic in your hood.
there are plenty in the BA.
