[A4] Window switch - no longer auto-up or auto-down...

This just happened yesterday to me ('97 A4 2.8L) - was working fine to 
go all the way up or down with a single flick of the driver's window 
switch, but has stopped doing that.

I had hit it to go up, and it went nearly all the way up, then stopped 
and started coming back down.  Since then it won't move unless I hold 
the switch (up or down) - no more 'automatic'.  I miss it!!  :D

Any thoughts on how to fix or what could have gone wrong?  Thanks!
