[BiturboS4] Blown Turbos (Non-Chipped S4) - Update

Bruce,

Thanks for the advice. At this point, there is no
record of me inquiring about strange noises under my
hood until today. I can guarantee you that AUDI is
going to use TODAY as my day of record.

That being said - I am SORRY - this is a well known
and documented problem. I will resort to trickery to
get Audi USA to honor mechanical defect - NOT AS A
RESULT OF ABUSE (the common claim of manufacturers).

The boost on this car never has NEVER been enhanced (I
must admit that I was planning to do so - but this
turbo failure got in the way).

So, that being said - in my opinion - it's is
unreasonable for a manufacturer to try and weasle out
of a claim when the machine is just 2k mi over the
warranty expiration - that is just TOO close - like
horse shoes and hand grenades. If I have to go the
"lemon law" route - I will. Too many people are aware
of the S4's reputation for turbo failure.

In fact, the guys at AWE said "that even the late
2001s and 2002s have had turbo failure." Rule of thumb
was, the 2000s and early 2001s were suspect.

I will not accept anything LESS than 2 new turbos and
plumbing under warranty!

BTW, the car is sitting in my driveway - it will not
be operated until April 16th - when I drive it to the
dealer.

In the meantime, I am driving my ALT (not up on my
German spelling - probably misspelled) PORSCHE. Thank
God - it's still ticking after 125k mi (on the
original turbo - been chipped for 5k mi - mainly keep
it at stock boost w/the Greddy Boost controller)and a
new body (kit). It wasn't meant to be my every day car
- thatwas what the S4 was suppoed to be.
