I hope so!  I'm sure I didn't do a terrible amount of damage (I didn't
actually hit WOT or anything.. just a little more throttle than I wanted.  I
figured out the flaw in my design for the throttle linkage too.  At idle,
the throttle "lever" that I welded onto the 4k bracket is parallel to the
cable... which means I'm fighting the direction of intended movement.  I'm
going to try welding it at a different angle...

Oh man you're right on here.  I can hardly contain my excitement!  I think
I'm going to let my dad take the car back and forth to work once I sort the
bugs out since I don't think I'd be able to keep my foot out of it....
