Hi List,
jobs done this weekend,
fixed sunroof slide mechanism (just adjusted the tilt mechanism, it wasn't
quite low enough, so it released the catch for the runners when the roof lowers
when you crank the handle to slide it back if anyone's interested), worked out
dash light fault was blown tracks in the dimmer switch, replaced stereo,
retarded timing, changed oil, re-aligned driving lights.
still haven't found leaky footwell problem but have lots of leads to check out
(THANKS those with suggestions btw!)
The old stereo was wired by a three year old. I was looking at the wiring for
the ash tray light to diagnose the dash light problem and got so sick of trying
to work round the wiring for the stereo I decided to relace it with the one
from my old car (it's miles better anyway). There were badly spliced wires,
grounds flying everywhere and it generally looked like a plate of spaghetti.
All that without even moving it, so I had to pop out and put 10 quids worth of
LRP in it just so I could take it for a drive:)
Cherio,
Graham.
