Thanks for the input from all who, I'll check it out ASAP. I took out the 
dimmer switch and the headlight switch to see the third socket in the head 
light switch (thick red one, must be the power wire) was melted. I also took 
the dimmer switch apart to see that the metal side walls with the pickups for 
the dash lights had burnt on both sides. I took both head light and dimmer 
switch out of my 87 coupe gt donor car, will the dimmer switch work even 
though the one from the 4ksq is an 'A' and the one from the coupe is a 'B'???
