re. strapping IC: how many straps?

I understand 1 set of straps=1 long strap is sufficient.

Tending to the side of massive overkill, I used two sets and
"cross-strapped" mine.  I inserted the straps into some rubber hose sections
where the straps put force on the endcaps to cushion and prevent cracking
from stress and overtightening.

This however required the removal of the intercooler, whereas with one
strap, you can probably do this with the IC mounted.

<I want to strap IC before I go to mod. Could someone tell me how many
straps to install? 1 or 2? Side tanks are pretty rounded, not much flat
space to put straps.>
